November 10, 2010: Brayne Trainz: Metro-North v1.3

[NEW] Wireless delivery for timetable updates. New schedules/timetables will be distributed wirelessly for faster release.

[CHANGE] Re-enabled access to ALL stations on connecting lines, rather than only displaying station stops on that line.

September 13, 2010: Brayne Trainz: Metro-North v1.2, by Braynesoft LLC, is now available for all devices!

* Contains the August 30, 2010 timetables

[FIXED] OS3 device crashes when launching v1.1.

[FIXED] iOS4 devices do not preserve state when changing settings and favorites.

 

September 6, 2010: Brayne Trainz: Metro-North v1.2, by Braynesoft LLC, is being tested and will be submitted to Apple for approval within the next day or two. Basically, we need to regression test the entire application so it handles state in the multitasking iOS 4 environment on all platforms.

Brayne Trainz: Metro-North is a powerful train timetable application for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. It comes complete with the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven train timetables built in, so the data is always at your finger tips. Updates will be provided as the new schedules are made available from Metro-North.

There are a few train schedule applications available for the iPhone devices today, but Brayne Trainz: Metro-North has distanced itself from the pack by providing a unique, powerful, and simple to use interface. It's simplicity and power relies on a picker wheel where the commuter spins the from/to station wheels to see all available departure/arrival times for the selected trip.  Brayne Trainz was designed with the hardcore commuter in mind. The individuals who need an easy-to-use tool to quickly find the next train to NYC, or to head back home at the end of a long day, without wrestling with the paper schedule; Stow Away Your Paper Schedules! is the tag line for this application, as the creators don't suggest you throw away your paper schedules - paper doesn't run out of battery power.

Some of the many easy-to-use features include storing favorites trips, eMailing trip details, a reverse trip button, ability to select next train closest to current time, and display transfers/connections.
